Back in the 1960s Kiveton and Wales acquired a village hall - the Festival Hall. It was built to the standards of the day, i.e. not very well.
In 2007 a long awaited replacement was built - the Kiveton Park and Wales Village Hall. It's a much better building and sports an impressive array of solar photovoltaic (pv) panels on the roof that generate electricity. Shown below are the view from Walesmoor Avenue and that from the recreation ground car park (showing the solar pv).
The hall hosts anything from kids parties and discos to wedding receptions and other village events.
