Both the photos below were loaned to me by Pat Ward. Unfortunately they were undated but I'd have a guess that they were taken circa 1930 - if you can date them definitively then let me know!

Top: 'Hards Lane' i.e. Hard Lane crossroads looking south towards Harthill. Bottom, a picture taken from about where the roadsign is, looking u[ Station Road past where one day in the 1950s the Saxon Pub would stand.
