Thorpe Salvin and Netherthorpe didn't have a pub until the mid 1970's. That's when this place was built - The Parish Oven pub. It is still the only pub in town, and there's a great walk from it to Turnerwood and the Chesterfield canal. It specialises in pub food and real ales; well worth a visit.
